Local and Fresh
The Down Home Diner buys food from local farmers and Reading Terminal Market merchants to serve the freshest foods with professional pride. As a Diner, we believe that southern hospitality and modest prices provide the most welcoming atmosphere.
At the Diner we bake fresh biscuits every morning, make our own jams, and prepare fresh soups. Diner food in the 1950’s was fresh and wholesome, served with a smile, and we have continued this tradition for the last twenty-eight years.
We do our very best to serve good, honest and traditional American food. We are proud to be the Market Restaurant, representing a multitude of purveyors in the Reading Terminal Market.
